This document is a general reference to be used by the Company when adjusting the bonus parameters. The classic engine uses a different location and configuration for the parameters (not covered in this document). This document describes the location and use of the interfaces to change the bonus parameters in the dynamic engine.
The bonus parameters are unique to each client and the information provided in this document does not reflect the actual configuration in your system. It is used for reference only. The functionality of the bonus parameters is defined in the Company’s compensation plan document.
Only the values in the compensation plan that are noted with the red @ symbol can be updated through Bonus Parameters.
The Company is responsible for the bonuses paid and qualifications generated that resulted from adjusting the bonus parameters. Therefore, it is advised that you fully review the results from running step 2 of bonus with the new parameters before committing it. You can always delete the test run and adjust the parameters again. Please contact ByDesign if you need assistance adjusting bonus parameters.
This document is not intended to be used for marketing purposes and should not be distributed as such. The terminology used in this document may be specific to ByDesign’s internal processes. However, where possible, standard industry terminology is used.
You need to prepare the system before adjusting bonus parameters.
To delete an unofficial run, click on the Description of the run to open it. There will be a Delete button to delete that run.
If there is no Delete button, you would need to contact ByDesign Support to delete the run.
Once the unofficial runs have been addressed, the Company can proceed to make the necessary adjustments to bonus parameters.
Enter a descriptive name to the change involved in the Description field. This will show in the list of bonus runs under the Configuration column. Also, an additional explanation can be added to use as reference. Click Save when done.
If the following message appears, then it means that the Company currently has unofficial runs. These need to be deleted or committed in order to proceed.
If you need to make more changes after committing the new Bonus Parameters, you can re-open the Bonus Parameters.
Please note that you can only re-open the Bonus Parameters if there are no bonus runs using it.
If the updated Bonus Parameters have been used and committed, then you must start over with creating another new Bonus Parameters configuration. If the run is unofficial using the new parameters, then you can delete that run and re-open the Bonus Parameters.
Click Re-Open to make additional adjustments.
