Setting an inventory item inactive makes it immediately unavailable throughout the Freedom application. It will no longer appear in the enrollment form, online shopping cart, backoffice orders or be available through APIs.
Inactive inventory items will remain in the Freedom application under the classification of "Inactive". An inventory item may need to be reactivated for a variety of reasons; for example, if specialty item is being brought back for Reps and Customers to purchase.
Locate the pencil icon next to Status which indicates editing the status
If the previous price the item was sold as are still valid, check the Update Pricing Dates checkbox.
If the price of the item needs to be changed, click Set Active and follow the steps for Updating Inventory Prices.
Set the End Date based on when the item will no longer be available, then click Apply. If the End Date is infinitly available, the EndDate can be set to 12/31/2099.
