This page outlines the steps to set up the Loyalty Program Free Shipping Promotion. This Promotion offers Free Shipping on Autoship Orders for a designated Customer Type. It aims to motivate these Customers to place additional Autoship orders beyond their usual ones.
When building new Promotions you will need to build each area in order; first create the Promotion Action, then create any applicable Promotion Conditions, and finally associate the areas and build the Promotion.
To configure the Promotion Action, navigate to Administration > Bonus > Promotions > Promotion Actions
- Click the "New" button
- Add a Description for the Promotion Action. (ex. Free Shipping Promotion)
- On the Action Type select "Autoship - Shipping Discount"
- The "Start Date" and "End Date" are optional. These dates can be controlled from the Promotion configuration leaving the default date is recommended.
- For the field "Is this Promotion Discount Taxable?" can leave as "NO" since no shipping fee is added to order on this example.
- In Select Discount, Select "Free Shipping" option
Available Options for Select Discount:
Free Shipping Discounts: Reduces Shipping costs to zero
Free Handling: Discounts handling costs to zero fees
Free Shipping Handling: Discounts shipping and handling costs to zero fees
Discounted Shipping: Discounts shipping costs by percentage
Flat Amount Shipping: Specify a flat rate shipping cost
7.Save the Promotion Action, then proceed to configure the Promotion Conditions below.
To configure Promotion Conditions navigate to Administration > Bonus > Promotions > Promotion Conditions
- Click the "New" button
- dd a Description for the Promotion Condition. (ex. Autoship Preffered Customer Type)
- For "Condition Type" select "AutoShip: Customer Type"
- The "Start Date" and "End Date" Optional. It is advisable to keep the default dates; you can manage these dates from the Promotion configuration page.
- For "Customer Type" select "Prefered Customer" or desired Customer Type to discount Shipping costs.
- Proceed to Save the Promotion Condition, and continue to configure the Promotion Below.
To configure the Promotion, navigate to Administration > Bonus > Promotions > Promotion
- "Promotion Type" select "Autoship Promo"
- Click on Create "New"
- Description for the Promotion (ex. Free Shipping for Preferred Customer's Autoship Orders)
- Select "Active" when ready to activate promotion. Otherwise, leave active flag disabled.
- Select the Promotion Action created on prior steps on the "Action" Field (ex. Autoship Free Shipping)
- The "Start Date" and "End Date" are optional. The default dates are recommended. They can be set for a specified period of time.
- Leave the "Cumulative" box unchecked
- Select the "Target Type" option to the desired targetted audience
Available Target Type options:
Distributor: The promotion will only evaluate on Distributor orders and only a Distributor can earn the promotion.
Customer: The promotion will only evaluate for a Customer
Both: The promotion will evaluate either Distributor or Customer and apply Action to the owner of the order.
- Click "Save" then assign the Promotion Conditions'.
- After Saving the Promotion condition section will be available on the top right corner.
- On Conditions area click on "Add" to add the Condition(s) previously created.
- Select the New Condition from Drop Down List displayed and Click "Add". (Ex. Autoship Preffered Customer Type)
- Then "Save" the Promotion to complete the configuration
