¶ Overview
The Replicated Site API and WordPress plugin both require a Freedom User with the corresponding user rights configured. Follow these steps to create the Freedom User properly.
¶ Create the User
Follow the steps outlined in Adding a User to create the user account.
ByDesign encourages you to name the user account: ReplicatedSite and NOT to use someone's actual user account because the next step you will give this user account accesss to ONLY the Replicated Site API.
The password should be secure and ByDesign encourages the use of a password generator so that it cannot be guessed.
¶ User Rights
Once you complete the setup of the user information, next we will give this user account the access for the Replicated Site API.
Scroll down to Web Services and check the checkbox for:
- Online API
- Replicated Site API
Then click Save.
With the UserName and Password created above, you will use these to authenticate the ReplicatedSite API or WordPress plugin.
