In order to process transactions in the Backoffice, Shopping Cart, and AutoShip, Credit Card Accounts will need to be created for the Credit Card Processor(s) you will be using.
The Credit Card Gateway will focus on configuring Nuvei as they are ByDesign's preferred partner. As a result, support hours spent on assistsing with the Nuvei Processor is included in the Freedom license and does not count towards your monthly support allocation.
To configure any other Credit Card Processor other than Nuvei, please reach out to ByDesign Support. Nuvei is the only process ByDesign guarntees is up to date and therefore any configuration, testing, or development that is needed on other processors is not included in the Freedom license and all costs are the client's responsibility.
The Credit Card Gateway is done in 3 parts:
The Credit Card Accounts will be configured under the assumption that the Checkout version 2.0 will be used, therefore two Credit Card Accounts will need to be setup for both Nuvei Processors, Tokenized and APM.
The Tokenized Processor works in all areas except for Checkout version 2.0 in the Shopping Cart. As a result, the APM Processor would need to be used for Checkout version 2.0 and would be configured as the second Credit Card Account. The aPM processor only works in Checkout 2.0 since it also allows for other payment methods, such as PayPal, to be used, which would not be available in other areas of Freedom. The Account Area that the Account will be active in will be set in each Processor's Credit Card Account.
Credit Card Territories will be setup to determine in what Countries each Credit Card Territory will be used in.
The third step will specify in what Countries the Credit Card payment method will be use used. The Nuvei Processors, Tokenized and APM, are considered as a Credit Card payment method, therefore to use them in certain countries the Payment Method Territory for Credit Card in the active countries will need to be set up.
